This week we are working on creating patterns using line drawing! You are going to create a very interesting kid of pattern drawing called a ZENTANGLE. Follow Miss Darriba's tutorials below to help you create some zentangles. Your patterns can be anything you like, you don't have to do the same lines that are shown in the videos.

1. Watch the tutorials.

2. Have a go at creating some different patterns like Miss Darriba did in the first video - this will help to get you into a creative mood and comfortable with your pencil.

3. Create your own zentangle piece of art - it could be your initial (like the second video), it could be a picture of a landscape, it could be an abstract design like lots of overlapping circles! It can be whatever you want, but what matters is that you include zentangles in your piece of art! And remember, each section of your art should have a different pattern in it...that's what makes zentangles so fun to create and exciting to look at.
