Art

Today's art lesson is all about African patterns using line work. Take a look at the lesson powerpoint to learn a bit about why patterns are such a big part of African culture. Then, use the pattern worksheet to help you create your own African pattern! Your pattern should fill the page and be coloured in using vibrant and bright colours.

Remember, look at the patterns on the worksheet for ideas on which ones you could use. Look at how the page has been split up using lines. Make sure you do this to split up your own patterns and put a different pattern in each section.

How to draw an African inspired pattern
