Please support your child's learning by testing them on their weekly spellings before the test on Fridays. It makes all the difference!
Forest School Trip - 28th September 2017
We had a wonderful time exploring the Forest School at Paddington Recreation Grounds on Thursday. The children really enjoyed their time with the instructors, learning about the different plants and animals that can be found there. Please ask you son or daughter what they discovered on the trip!
Good morning! Thank you for coming to the class yesterday evening to learn about how year 3 operates. It was a pleasure meeting you all and I hope it was a useful opportunity for you to ask questions about key stage 2.
Below is the intention letter for year 3. You will find lots of important information regarding the year 3 curriculum and a few reminders of what was discussed yesterday afternoon. Please find me after school today if you have any further questions.
Home Learning - Friday 22nd September 2017
Please continue researching a well known volcano at home. I will post a link to KidRex - a search engine specifically for children - below. This is a great place to go for interesting facts, clips and more!
Please can the homework be in for Wednesday 27th of September. I look forward to seeing your creative projects and displays!
Hi all! I hope you have had a relaxing weekend and you are ready for a busy and exciting week of learning. From Tuesday, we will be commencing our topic for this half term and you can read about this in the letter attached. Please read the letter carefully, particularly the vital section on how you can support your child in their learning at home.
If you have any questions then please get in touch,
Welcome to Year 3!
We have made a great start to the year already and our full timetable will be commencing on Monday the 11th September. Please be aware that we will be swimming every Monday afternoon as part of our P.E. curriculum and that all students will require full swim kit, starting from tomorrow.
Also on Monday the 11th September, there will be a short meeting immediately at the end of the school day, where parent and carers will have the opportunity to meet with the new year 3 teacher, Mr Hart. After introducing himself, he will run through the class timetable, exciting learning opportunities planned for this term and expectations for home learning, behaviour and uniform. This will be a wonderful opportunity to ask him any questions regarding the class and see your child's classroom for the first time!
We look forward to seeing you there.
