Year 3

Welcome to the Year 3 home learning page!

Dear Year 3 children and parents,

I hope that you're all well and making the most of this time at home together. I know that many of you will be missing your learning and so I wanted to put together some things that you can use to help you continue your work at home. I will be adding to this with activities that you can do in English, maths and science and that are related to what we have been learning about at school.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions that you have or to send me your work - whether it be something you have written, some sums that you have completed, a picture that you have drawn or a photograph of something that you have made! You can email me at Year3@stpeterscm.co.uk and I will be happy to help with anything that I can.

Take care! I wish you all the best and look forward to seeing you all very soon :)

Science project

Can you create a fact file about one animal with an exoskeleton, one with an endoskeleton, and one with a hydrostatic skeleton?

Why not make some notes first about one animal of your choice, finding out facts such as where in the world your animal lives, what kind of habitat they live in, what food they eat, how long they live for, and whether they live in family groups.

Challenge: Find out how their type of skeleton helps them to survive.

Once you have found all of the information you need, write it up onto a poster, leaflet or booklet and decorate with some pictures of your chosen animals.

This can be an ongoing project - see how much information you can find, and have fun!
