On this page you can find out about all the key activities that happen at St Peters.
Currently, children in years 3 and 4 receive 1 hour of swimming instruction per week, meaning they have plenty of time to master the basics of swimming and giving some a chance to develop their skills to a very high level.
Active 10
St Peters have just launched a new project called Active 10!
Everyday, each class completes 10 minutes of physical activity using equipment or music.

PE Lessons at St Peters
At St Peters each class participates in two lessons of Physical Education a week. Throughout the year we cover all areas of the National Curriculum, from Outdoor Games to Gymnastics! Take a look at some of the pictures below to see what we have been doing this term.
Numberfit
Numberfit is an active and engaging mathematics programme supporting the National Curriculum for 3-14 year olds. They work with schools and local education authorities to raise attainment and engagement in Maths.
Throughout the Autumn term Year 3 and 4 have been participating in weekly Numberfit sessions linking to the maths topics they have been completing each week.
MEND
Mind, Exercise, Nutrition, DO IT!
Throughout the Autumn term Year 1 and Year 4 have been given the opportunity to take part in MEND lessons each week. MEND are a leading provider of healthy lifestyle programs for children and families in local communities. They also develop innovative ways to improve public health and encourage healthier lifestyles, using their extensive research.
After Christmas the MEND team will be holding an after school club every Monday from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.

Yoga
Throughout the Autumn term Yoga sessions have been offered to some year groups to to help calm and engage children during the school day. Have a look at some pictures below, can you hold any of these positions?
Football Club

Every Monday after school we have a Football club open by invite to Year 5 and Year 6 pupils.
St Peter's Euros 2016
To celebrate the Euros Football Tournament at the end of the school year the whole school participated in a Football Tournament. Every child was placed into a team based on the house - Elvin, Phoenix, Dragon and Unicorn - and then competed against each other to find a champion team. Year 1 and 2 battled against each other, Year 3 and 4 competed for the title and lastly Year 5 and 6 played many games which followed in penalties.
