Dear Parents,
We have provided you with some additional activities to keep your children busy over the summer holidays. These activities can be printed out and they will help to consolidate your child's learning for this academic year. We want the children to be able to have some fun over the summer but we also don't want them to forget key concepts, especially as they have missed so much face to face schooling during the pandemic.
We would strongly advise you to continue to hear your child read 5 times a week over the holidays and to continue to practise times tables. These are what we call the non negotiables and by continuing regular reading and fluency your child will be in a good routine ready to start the new academic year. We would also love to see and share any book reviews your children complete if they are reading chapter books.
Below are some English and Maths summer booklets for each year group that your child can complete. Little and often is always the best way for children to remember key concepts.
We have also added some screen free activities for you to try as well as some fun recipes. Fancy making some ice lollies and a summer tart? Download the recipe and tell us what they were like!
We have also added art activity packs so children can continue their excellent art skills!
We hope you find them useful and more importantly enjoyable and would like to wish you a lovely summer holiday.
