While the role of art in children's development has always been crucial, now more than ever it is important for children to have opportunities to explore their curiosity and imagination - being creative is a powerful outlet for children to be able to cope with their feelings and fears, as well as managing their emotional states. Art is a wonderful medium for children to become comfortable with the uncertain, to develop an understanding of perseverance, to appreciate diversity in outcome and so much more! And better yet it, offers enjoyable opportunities for families to explore together.
The links below offer a wide range of ideas, activities, resources, and lessons that the children can explore themselves or with their family. If you find any of these really enjoyable and would like to share your creations, please email them to Miss Darriba (Year2@stpeterscm.co.uk) - she would love to see your work and share it with the school community! Have fun!
